Salary/Pay Scale

The Salary/Payscale for the post of Jr. Engineer Position in Odisha SSC is given below.

Jr. Engineer(Civil) consolidated pay: Rs.16,880/- per month.

Jr. Engineer(Mechanical) consolidated pay: Rs.16,880/- per month.

Educational Qualifications

Jr. Engineer(Civil):

Must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from any recognized Institution.
The candidate must have Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E Standard or passed in Odia as a language subject in Final examination of Class- VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E School Standard conducted by the Education Department, Govt. of Odisha.

Jr. Engineer(Mechanical):

Must possess Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from any recognized Institution.
The candidate must have Odia as one of the subjects in the HSC or passed examination in Odia equivalent to M.E Standard or passed in Odia as a language subject in Final examination of Class- VII or passed a test in Odia in M.E School Standard conducted by the Education Department, Govt. of Odisha.

Other Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia.
Candidate must have passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or have passed High School Certificate Examination or equivalent examination with Odia as a subject/ medium of examination in non-language subject, or have passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above or have passed a test in Odia in M.E School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.

Age Limit

Jr. Engineer(Civil): 21 Years to 32 Years as of 01.01.2019

Jr. Engineer(Mechanical): 21 Years to 32 Years as of 01.01.2019

Examination Fee

The examination Fee for this exam is Rs.200/-. Fees can be paid through Online mode during submission of the online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available.

NO EXAMINATION FEE IS REQUIRED IN THE CASE OF SC, ST & PWD CANDIDATES.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on the Main written test followed by Career Evaluation and Certificate Verification.
